Softball, Spring, Flowers, and Warmer Weather=A Happy Emily

Hey so I know its been FIVE long weeks since I've posted but hey I've been busy which is a good thing right?! :) Someone asked me this week, "So Em, what's new?". I had a hard time answering them at that moment but as I thought about it I came up with a few things. The main thing I immediately think about that is new for me is starting softball. I have never played before on a team but sure I've thrown and hit ball with my dad and grandpa as a kid but never anything this serious. I'm loving it SOOO much though. I love my teammates and coaches. I have a feeling this is gonna become my favorite sport. Of course playing any sport requires some equipment soooo....
I've been equipped with some pretty nice stuff..A new glove, batting gloves, and a pair of softball cleats. Oh and my favorite new thing --Under Armor which I didn't take a picture of. I've been learning a lot lately and I am already seeing myself improving so much. I look forward to learning more as the season goes on.

With the softball season approaching the season of spring is also on its way. Which means flowers and warmer weather will also make its way here too. I am sooo ready for spring and all that it brings. I tired of brown grass and coldness. Hope you're doing well!

The Promise of Life

Yesterday dad took my sister and I to where he had found a robin nest full of eggs along our fence row. The eggs were so pretty I just had to take a picture. I love this time of the year! When everything is just bursting with color and life. In two weeks our 5 nanny goats are due to have babies. I can hardly wait, baby goats are so cute! I will definately have some pictures when the time comes.

Happy Easter!

Today was a fun day! It's Easter, of course it's gonna be fun! My day started out by going to an Easter breakfast at church, which was very good. After the breakfast the church service started with some triumphful hymns celebrating our RISEN Lord. After church we went to my great aunt and uncles for lunch. Their kids were there with their kids who are about 2 years old and Kate and I helped hide Easter eggs for an Easter egg hunt for them. After being there for most of the afternoon we came home and some of our really good friends the Mast's came over for a campfire and games. So overall it was an awesome day! And a real beautiful one too! Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday too!

A Hopeful Sign of Spring.

I can't believe it is already March. When I think of March I think of spring, but its hard to believe that spring is around the corner when there is still snow on the ground. I managed to find a sign of the season to come in my backyard that made me a little bit more hopeful, and I thought I would share it with you:
Some daffodil's peeking up beside the snow in the garden.....
I know this cloudy and dreary weather can sometimes drain our energy but let us (including me) have hope that the warm weather and flowers will arrive.
