Cloudy Day

Today was one of those days where you just don't want to get out of bed. Your alarm wakes you up and then you just want to snooze for just another 5 min, and then it becomes another 5 minutes and then your sister comes to your room and pours water on your face (no just kidding about the pouring water part). Anyways, today had was a decent day. It started out with fitness which was running a mile and walking a mile. Fun stuff huh? Though I had to push myself I was really proud of myself at the end of it all. My dad/teacher is making my sister Kate and I do some sort of fitness each day. Whether it be running, jogging, Frisbee golfing, or biking. After fitness/gym we take showers and then get ready for our morning session. Each day we either have math, bible, and vocab or science, history, and reading for our morning session. In the afternoon, we also have a different activity each day. On Mondays, we have whats called "3D Model Work." My dad and sister and I are over the course of the year are going to make a 3D model of our 6.5 acres that we live on. On Tuesdays, we do "Farm Projects" such as building compost bins, greenhouse, or anything else we can find. On Wednesdays, we go to the library to do research, get new books to read, or work on our blogs. Then on Thursdays we also work on "Farm Projects" like on Tuesday. Finally on Fridays, we have a study time where we either read, do projects, or work on our blog. This first week of homeschooling has been a blast. There have been a lot of things to get used to and many changes made, but I loving it all. I am really enjoying this blog thing and I hope everyone who is following my year at home is too.

Take Care,

Sounds like you had a great day (Despite the fog/rain/cloudiness :)! We went to the library today, and I was hoping to see you there, but I guess we missed you (If you even went!). Can't wait to get together again!

Hi, Emily K! I found you through Emily S's blog. :)

I think your year at home sounds like a lot of fun and a great opportunity for learning, too.

Tell your parents hi from the Fishers! :)
